Thank you for this most interesting and informative article. I look forward to learning more on this topic. It amazes me how there is always a bright side, scientifically speaking, to every disease. The AIDS epidemic triggered an plethora of studies that led to life saving treatments in many diseases. It feels like we might see a similar impact with covid. Who knows, things learned from covid may lead to a cure and vaccine for HIV. #HIVisNOTaCRIME
I have never had influenza but also have only ever had a flu shot in 1967. I worked as a guidance & student service Sec. for 7 1/2 yrs and then, 41/2 yrs 5-days/wk in College, a HS Math teacher for 16 years after that. Often exposed but never infected. Also have O+ blood type. Could that play any role in my chance of surviving Covid?

I’m living with prostate cancer and my doctor told me my hormone therapy might actually be protecting me from. He said they are seeing reports of low testosterone being found in people who were exposed but never got COVID or didn’t get it bad. Fingers crossed as I have 18 months of the treatment to go.
