They need to look at why a lot of survivors aren’t getting the required mammograms more closely. Many insurance companies cover the annual screening mammogram but for 7 years post diagnosis most radiologists and oncologists order a diagnostic mammogram. This is not covered as your annual mammogram. They don’t even reimbursement the amount the screening mammogram would have cost. This leaves me and many other survivors spending thousands of dollars a year that many of us can not afford.
