Taking Control
Many articles are written about depression and anxiety in psych patients going through cancer treatments and all of the associated risks, symptoms, support, etc. What seems to be missing are discussions of the ramifications of changing psych medications because some interfere with cancer drugs. For example, I have bipolar illness and would likely need to change 2 out of 3 psych meds to accommodate breast hormone therapy medication for 5 years. That is a HUGE DEAL. I choose not to take that risk.
