My condolences, This is so sad to read, .. I remember when this story first broke. It gave me hope. I can also remember a social worker telling me to make sure I stayed healthy taking my meds that way id be a good candidate for a cure. Nowadays 21 years after testing positive, I'm not sure if I care anymore about being cured. I just would like to stay around long enough for my kids to become independent and self reliant.

I have worked 20 years in an AIDS/HIV clinic and I have never seen anyone cured. The regiment of medications, being undetectable is all that can be expected. A long way from the '80s where it was all but a death sentence.
