It's hard writing with tears streaming down my face...THANK YOU! In the last hour I've read all your BLOG entries, actually starting in the middle with Dear Every Cancer Patient I Ever Took Care Of, I’m Sorry. I Didn’t Get It, then working my way back then forward! I've been blessed with an amazing team too plus an infusion nurse that 'gets it'! Her teal survivor ribbon she wears proves it too! THANK YOU again!!!! Stephanie :)
Thank you so much for your articles. I am amazed at how accurately they reflect every feeling I have. I too, hated the word survivor until I read this article. In fact, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with the word or anything associated with it. Until now, when I just realized, I am one of the people who I so desperately seek out online. I endlessly search for long term cervical cancer survivors stories and find very few. I am a very recent survivor...but I can still offer hope.
Thank you - your article helped me better connect to these words & from now on I will hope to help someone by calling myself a survivor.
