LUNGevity: Is Lung Cancer In Young Adults Hereditary?

Do you ever wonder if lung cancer runs in families?
Come join us for an interactive Facebook Live with guest speakers, Gwen Orilio (patient advocate) and Dr. Jaclyn LoPiccolo (thoracic oncologist, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute) as they discuss what’s known about the link between genetics and lung cancer and why understanding these connections is important for patients and their families.
Dr. LoPiccolo is the recipient of the 2023 Lung Cancer Initiative/LUNGevity Career Development Award. Her project focuses on the genetics of lung cancer in young adults without tobacco exposure. Ms. Orilio was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2015 at age 31.
The panel will be moderated by Ms. Jenni Danai (Chief Mission Delivery Officer, LCI) and Dr. Upal Basu Roy (Executive Director of Research, LUNGevity).
