NCCN Patient Advocacy Summit on Addressing Needs of LGBTQ Cancer Patients
Best Practices and Policies for Addressing the Health Needs of LGBTQ+ Cancer Patients and Survivors
The National Comprehensive Cancer Network is hosting an #NCCNPolicy Summit to thoughtfully discuss the importance of providing high-quality, inclusive, equitable, and accessible cancer care to LGBTQ+ patients. Speakers includes representatives from HHS, CMS, NIH, and more.

Attend In-Person or Virtually!
The patient advocacy summit will focus on the heightened barriers to accessing high- quality and inclusive cancer care that can be experienced by patients who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or non-binary (LGTBQ+). Those barriers can include experiences of implicit and explicit bias, caregivers and chosen family not being recognized and supported by the health system, and misconceptions and miscommunication from the care team.
