Join Us in Celebrating Two Hall of Famers

Fans for the Cure will be honoring our wonderful supporter and friend, the great Cubs (and Expos, Red Sox, and Marlins) Hall of Famer, Andre Dawson. In addition to his inspiring and tireless work in his community as a funeral director during Covid, Andre is leading a Fans for the Cure initiative with local doctors and community leaders to improve screening numbers, early detection, and overall outcomes for prostate cancer in Black and Brown communities of Miami-Dade County. Also being recognized at the event will be the charity’s longtime medical advisor and early mentor, Dr. Chris M. Gonzalez, the Albert J. Jr. and Claire R. Speh Professor and Chair of the Department of Urology of Loyola Medicine and Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine.
