I have had multiple colonoscopies over the years without any difficulty during the procedure. However I understand the reluctance on the part of many to undergo a colonoscopy. I would suggest that offering colonoscopy shorts “moon pants” would ensure patient modesty and result in more procedures. When I mentioned that to my gastroenterologist he seemed somewhat bewildered by my request! The literature in this area suggests a greater acceptance if they were offered to the patient.
