I was turned away by my pharmacy because the shot wasn’t covered by my insurer. I called Medicare. The Medicare person said Medicare doesn’t cover the fourth shot.
You are lucky that the pharmacies are even doing this. There is a labor shortage btw in case you haven’t noticed. The CDC has been all over the place with what you should or should not do as far as vaccines and or the virus. So if you and your doctor are so worried about you getting covid become you have not gotten another booster than your doctor who is so educated and up on the facts of what the CDC is recommending then his office should have the shot ready and available to your situation.

I also experienced Rite Aide staff not aware of the recommended 4th shot. The day I became eligible I went to a Rite Aide they had all intentions of turning me away however I asked to speak with pharmacist. He also had no idea of the change even though that had been approved by CDC more than a month previously. He stated would need to get permission from corporate, I responded that is great I will be waiting. Ultimately I won and got my 4th dose. Stay vigilant your life depends on it.
