This year will be my daughter's second year at Kesem and she can't wait to go. She's 15.... Kesem truly is magical. She's told me that she is closer to some of her camp friends than friends she's had all her life. The bonding these kids have is fantastic and they literally become family and can't wait to see one another during the year at friends and family days. For those of you taking this that have cancer or are a survivor, please please please search for a chapter near you.
Our family LOVES Camp Kesem UNL! Our girls just got back on Saturday from the University of Nebraska Lincoln Camp. Our 2 youngest have gone 3 years now and it was the best thing possible that we could have ever done in a theraputic sense for them. Not to Mention their brother is a 2 year counselor and student at UNL. The college students that run this event are beyond mature, helpful, and as the girls say just "AWESOME!".

I am so grateful that my daughter's school social worker told me about Camp Kesem in the spring of 2017. My daughter has had a tremendous time at camp each year and built friendships that started from a common, somber thread. During the final weeks of her mom's life Moonwatcher had a support network to help her and some even drove over an hour to visit when we wanted to stay close to mom. I look forward to hearing about her time at Camp Kesem later this August and how it impacts her.
