Fans for the Cure Men’s Support Group

On June 30 we will welcome Jessica Bass, Lead Integrative Therapist at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York, and Nikki Schultz, an Integrative Therapist within three primary care offices in Rockland and Orange Counties, New York. The support group hour will open up to questions and comments about all aspects of mental health – both as it pertains to the prostate cancer journey and to the stresses and anxieties of everyday life.

As we try to do on the support group calls, Jessica and Nikki will focus on the importance of recognizing and flagging up mental health issues and, if deemed to be of value, how and where one goes about reaching out for one-on-one professional help.

This new program is an online way for Fans for the Cure to continue to support men facing a prostate cancer diagnosis, treatment, or recovery. To be clear, these groups are men getting together online to share experiences, support each other, and enjoy the company of other men on a journey through prostate cancer.

These support groups are not formal therapy or counseling. They are a way for men to gather virtually and informally to chat with and support each other.

We’re now holding online men’s support group video calls on a bi-weekly basis. To attend, please RSVP here: https://fansforthecure.org/online-mens-support-group/
