Today, instead of volunteering at my kids’ school for Halloween, I am at Sloan for my pre-op testing and meeting with the surgeon.

A lot of people ask me when my breaking point was, but I never hit one. I openly communicated with my oncologist every step of the way.
In writing this down, I guess I have to admit that it does make sense that I would be tired.
It was tough to feel so sick again, and it did “trigger” me to think back to chemo and feeling that run-down and sick.
I am happy to be doing my small part in helping test a new class of drug for breast cancer patients.
